HOUSE OF ERNEST HAIR SALON - WHITFORDS, HILLARYS

HOUSE OF ERNEST - WHITFORDS

This project was for the full fit-out of the first branch of House of Ernest Hairdressing Salons.  Associated Shopfitters was chosen to carry out the works after successfully completing refurbishment works at the Client’s Perth Salon in Carillon.

House of Ernest has the reputation of being one of Western Australia’s top Salons and we believed the working combination of House of Ernest and Associated Shopfitters would lead to a successful fit-out.

The greatest challenges of the project were the short time frames due to the existing tenant moving out and House of Ernest needing to have the works completed in a timely fashion, with the owners of House of Ernest wanting to take over the site and proceed with works immediately.

Due to the tenancy being located in the oldest part of the shopping centre, detailed drawings of the original columns were not available and structural information was not correct ie: the “as builts” from the original building works were non-existent, this meant ASF making changes to the drawings and gaining approvals quickly to install new structural support to enable the bulkheads etc to be securely installed.

The finishes were first class with American walnut veneer, Gloss Laminates, Porcelain Sheeting, Chocolate Matt Finish tiled floors, 2 Pak Painted Hexagonal Routered Bulkheads with recessed lighting, large fabric light boxes spanning 2400 x 2700, and the unique design of the mirrors at each cutting station on freestanding walls.

The combination of veneer joinery back panels with timber picture framing and segmented designs allowed the signage to stand out and be a focal point when walking towards the tenancy from different directions at the shopping centre.

At the end of the Project all parties were very happy including the Shopping Centre Management, the Clients and all the Trades who worked on the project.
