Hub at T2 Domestic Terminal

Located groundside at T2 Hub Convenience is a compact shop selling magazines and all those last minute toiletries, groceries and adapters that you forget when travelling.
The mechanical/air conditioning works provoked a bit of head scratching. The tenancy has an open ceiling with only gyprock painted bullheads to the perimeter. The large spiral duct that crosses the space interfered with the proposed lighting plans as well as placing limits on the heights of joinery and also the paint finish which had to remain black throughout the entire ceiling and underside of slab area.
ASF had to work to a very tight program due to the official opening dates of the new airport with its expected first flights, as well as some trial runs with 500 ‘travellers'.
Handing over a small tenancy to the client complete with high quality polished  plywood and two pak painted joinery, specialised vinyl floor finishes and counters with stone tops was most rewarding.
